What should I do about this guy...?

So im going to go out with this guy today that I met one year ago...Somewhat...We are going to this thing called the Oyster Bake (Its not what your thinking) They have rides and Roller coasters, Tons of food and a lot of BANDS! (Good ones to) Anyway, that's not the point....He came to where I live and he goes to school here (He started in october) And at the end of april hes going back to cali were he lives but I dont know if I should break up with him or not...I dont like long distance relationships at ALL, but he also said he would be back sometime this year...What should I do...?
