Smoke and cooking fumes can harm your bird, and non-stick pans should be completely eliminated if you intend on keeping your bird in the living room. Keep him a good distance away from the fireplace because there could be harmful fumes coming off of it. Also, if there ever is a gas leak from your fireplace, your bird will likely wind up dead.
