Can Legs Be Too Long For Shorts And Mini Skirts?

I've been cursed with long legs and a short torso (it is terrible...I look out of proportion, and to make it worse my legs are skinny with not a very nice shape about them). So, I have shorts, and mini skirts and denim skirts, and like to wear them when the weather is nice, but I'm sooo self conscious that people will just think...ewww....put your legs away. I've noticed that very small, petite girls look amazing in mini skirts, and then people like ME......anyway, what do you think? really need opinions! thanks x x
