Infatuation with a friend?

I think I am infatuated with my friend. Its nothing "gay" but for some reason I am infatuated with a friend and I dont know why. Maybe becasue I have low self-esteem and he has high self-esteem and confidence, being around him makes me feel confident and rises my self-esteem. Even though at times he gets mad at me for stupid stuff, I always forgive him and go back to being friends. Is something wrong with me?
