Would a size 146 snowboard be good for me?

Rent for your first few times on the mountain and ask questions of the person that is sizing you for your board. Before you buy a board, go to a real board shop (not REI or Sports Authority) and talk to the guys selling the boards. They are almost always super knowledgeable and are willing to share their knowledge even if you're not ready to buy.
